“Our Earth is warming up and our oceans are rising,” Eilish begins. “Extreme weather is wrecking millions of lives.”

Describing extreme weather patterns, Harrelson warns that “we are in a climate emergency,” adding, “History shows us that when enough people rise up and demand change, those in power have no choice but to act.”

Eilish and Harrelson call on people to join climate activist movements, including Fridays for Future, the movement inspired by Greta Thunberg which recently organized the massive global climate strike by students.

Over the weekend, Eilish was the musical guest on the season premiere of Global’s “Saturday Night Live”, hosted by Harrelson.

On Friday, the singer appeared on “The Tonight Show”, where she told host Jimmy Fallon about plans to make sure her upcoming world tour is “as green as possible.”

She explained, “So there’s no plastic straws allowed, the fans are going to bring their own water bottles, there’s going to be recycle cans everywhere, because it’s like, if something’s recyclable, it doesn’t matter unless there’s a recycle bin.”

Eilish also added that each venue will include a “Billie Eilish Eco-Village”, where fans can learn more about climate change and how they can get involved in stopping it.

“Saturday Night Live” airs Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. PT/11:30 p.m. ET on Global.
