“He’s an incredible guy,” the actor said of Gunn. “He’s written a fantastic script. It’s so funny… I feel like I’m shooting my first comedy. There are a lot of really funny people there. It’s like a learning experience. I’m around a lot of incredible funny people.”
Also returning for the sequel, titled “The Suicide Squad”, are Margot Robbie, Viola Davis and Jai Courtney.

Kinnaman also had praise for fellow DC star Joaquin Phoenix and his recent performance in “Joker”.
“Joaquin [Phoenix] just crushed it. Wow. He is incredible. He’s such an actor,” Kinnaman said. “It’s surprising to see that kind of a performance in something that has a DC wrapper on it, because that’s a real art film. And I have a sister who’s schizophrenic, and I’ve drawn on some of her behavioral things in things that I’ve done earlier, and, yeah, I was really struck by how accurate his [performance was].”
“The Suicide Squad” is set to hit theatres Aug. 6, 2021.

The “Tiny Dancer” crooner kicked off his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour on Sept. 8 2018. The world tour will continue until Dec. 2020. His next stop is scheduled for Oct. 28 in Nashville, Tennessee. No word on if that show will be postponed as well.
Earlier this month, ET was with John as he and Rocketman star Taron Egerton reunited onstage for a special performance with the Hollywood Symphony Orchestra at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. As the credits rolled after a screening of the film, the duo performed “(I’m Gonna) Love Me Again” and concluded the evening with John on piano and Egerton singing “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me.”
“We thought it would be great and we want to keep the film in people’s consciousness, because it came out early and it’s awards season,” John told ET at the event. “We thought it would be a great, fun way for people to reconnect with the film and the music because the music is a big part of the film.”
John also spoke to ET about his friendship with the late Princess Diana, as well as the hardships the late Michael Jackson endured throughout his life.

“I was trying to get in ‘Top Gun’ because I’m a massive fan of ‘Top Gun’, but I didn’t have time to do any filming,” he said. “But I had an opportunity to do it and I couldn’t do it.”
That said, Hamilton is still serious about getting into acting, having appeared in “Zoolander 2” and the “Cars” franchise, and he’s even been seeing an acting coach.
“I auditioned for a movie a while ago and it took one day to learn the role,” he said. “I had a fashion show in Paris, and I probably had maybe four or five shows to go to, so in between I quickly changed and saw this [acting] coach, and I saw her for 20 minutes and we quickly went through one part and then I went to a show and came back and went through another part. By the end of the day I had to record a video to send it to Los Angeles – it was so cool!”
