Bebe Rexha Has Advice For Instagram Troll Who Told Her To Lose Weight
by etcanadadigital
Bebe Rexha had some words of wisdom for a body-shaming troll who criticized her weight on Instagram.

The “Meant To Be” singer posted a photo of herself in a long and sleek black dress while backstage at “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” earlier this week before she performing her new song “You Can’t Stop The Girl”.

She captioned her photo, “I’ve always wanted to do an Ellen solo performance and doing it for an empowering song was amazing. I’m so grateful. #YouCantStopTheGirl.”

That message of empowerment was apparently lost on one commenter, who responded, “Wow you need to lose weight.”

It didn’t take long for the singer to reply to the troll, saying, “no you need to be more accepting and work on your own self hate.” As of this posting, the comment has already received over 1,700 replies, most of them positive.

Rexha is no stranger to criticism about her weight. In June, she called out body-shamers who labeled here as “tubby.” Rexha tweeted, “I don’t give two s**ts about what people think about my weight. I care about what I think about my weight.”

In a followup tweet, she added: “Unless you are completely perfect you have no f**kin right to talk about anyone else’s body. The hate you breed that stems from Insecurity [sic] don’t look pretty on you.”

Rexha was also very vocal about designers refusing to dress her for the Grammys last year because she was “too big.”

“A lot of times artists will go and talk to designers, and they’ll make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet… I had my team hit out a lot of designers, and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I’m too big,” Rexha explained in an Instagram video.

“If a size 6/8 is too big then, I don’t know what to tell you. Then I don’t want to wear your f**king dresses … To all the people that said that I’m thick … f**k you, I don’t want to wear your f**king dresses,” she continued.

“Don’t say you can’t dress someone that isn’t a runway size,” Rexha added. “We are beautiful any size! Small or large! Anddddd my size 8 a** is still going to the Grammys.”
