Shania Twain Debuts New Video For ‘Life’s About To Get Good

Shania Twain Debuts New Video For ‘Life’s About To Get Good
by Brent Furdyk:
The first single to be released from Shania Twain’s new album now has a new video to go along with it, with the release of the video for “Life’s About to Get Good” from her new album, “NOW”.

It’s a song of triumph over heartbreak, and while the tone is jubilant the lyrics are raw, honest and emotional.

“I wasn’t just broken, I was shattered/ I trusted you so much, you were all that mattered,” she sings in the first verse, with the second verse even more gut-wrenching. “The longer my tears fell, the wider the river/ It killed me that you’d give your life to be with her.”

But in the song’s chorus, Twain leaves all that behind. “Life’s about joy/ Life’s about pain/ It’s all about forgiving and the will to walk away. I’m ready to be loved/ And love the way I should/ Life’s about, life’s about to get good.”

“I’m a songwriter first. That absolutely drives everything. It was a big step toward independence. I pushed myself, knowing it was going to scare me and knowing that I, alone, was responsible for however it turned out,” says Twain of being the sole songwriter on her new album.

“I love collaborating, but I didn’t want any emotional, psychological, or musical influence,” she adds. “The minute you invite somebody into that space, you’re influenced. And then it wouldn’t be me. It wouldn’t be pure. This may be the purest work I ever do.”

Among Wonder’s works are singles such as “Superstition”, “Sir Duke”, “You Are the Sunshine of My Life” and “I Just Called to Say I Love You”; and albums such as Talking Book, Innervisions and Songs in the Key of Life.[2] He has recorded more than 30 U.S. top ten hits and received 25 Grammy Awards, one of the most-awarded male solo artists, and has sold over 100 million records worldwide, making him one of the top 60 best-selling music artists.[4] Wonder is also noted for his work as an activist for political causes, including his 1980 campaign to make Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday a holiday in the United States.[5] In 2009, Wonder was named a United Nations Messenger of Peace.[6] In 2013, Billboard  magazine released a list of the Billboard Hot  100 All-Time Top Artists to celebrate the US singles chart’s 55th anniversary, with Wonder at number six.[7]

Early life
Stevie Wonder was born in Saginaw, Michigan, in 1950, the third of six children of Calvin Judkins and Lula Mae Hardaway, a songwriter. He was born six weeks premature which, along with the oxygen-rich atmosphere in the hospital incubator, resulted in retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), a condition in which the growth of the eyes is aborted and causes the retinas to detach; so he became blind.[3][8] When Wonder was four, his mother left his father and moved to Detroit with her children. She changed her name back to Lula Hardaway and later changed her son’s surname to Morris, partly because of relatives. Wonder has retained Morris as his legal surname. He began playing instruments at an early age, including piano, harmonica and drums. He formed a singing partnership with a friend; calling themselves Stevie and John, they played on street corners, and occasionally at parties and dances.

Often ranked the best player in the world and considered by many as the greatest of all time, Ronaldo was named the best Portuguese player of all time by the Portuguese Football Federation, during its 100th anniversary celebrations in 2015. He was the first player to win four European Golden Shoe awards. One of the most marketable athletes in sport, in 2016 Forbes named Ronaldo the world’s best paid athlete. In June 2016, ESPN ranked him the world’s most famous athlete.

Ronaldo began his senior club career playing for Sporting CP, before signing with Manchester United at age 18 in 2003. After winning his first trophy, the FA Cup, during his first season in England, he helped United win three successive Premier League titles, a UEFA Champions League title, and a FIFA Club World Cup. By age 23, he had received Ballon d’Or and FIFA World Player of the Year nominations. He was the subject of the most expensive association football transfer when he moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009 in a transfer worth €94 million ($132 million). In Spain, he has won two La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, two Champions League titles, and two Club World Cups. Ronaldo holds the record for most goals scored in a single UEFA Champions League season, having scored 17 goals in the 2013–14 season. In 2014, Ronaldo became the fastest player to score 200 goals in La Liga, which he achieved in his 178th La Liga game. He is the only player in the history of football to score more than 50 goals in a season on six consecutive occasions. In 2015, Ronaldo became the all-time top goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League, and he also became Real Madrid’s all-time leading goalscorer. In 2017, he became the first player to reach 100 goals in European club competitions, as well as in the UEFA Champions League. He is the second highest goalscorer in La Liga history behind Lionel Messi, his perceived career rival.

Ronaldo made his international debut for Portugal in August 2003, at the age of 18. He is Portugal’s most capped player of all time with over 130 caps, and has participated in seven major tournaments: four UEFA European Championships (200420082012 and 2016) and three FIFA World Cups (20062010 and 2014). He is the first Portuguese player to reach 50 international goals, making him Portugal’s all-time top goalscorer. He scored his first international goal in Euro 2004 and helped Portugal reach the final. He took over full captaincy in July 2008, and he led Portugal to the semi-finals at Euro 2012, finishing the competition as joint-top scorer. In November 2014, Ronaldo became the all-time top scorer in the UEFA European Championship (including qualifying) with 23 goals. At Euro 2016, he became the most capped player of all-time in the tournament, the first player to score at four consecutive European Championship finals, and also equalled Michel Platini‘s all-time record for most goals scored in the competition. Story Behind the Nigerian music Duo’PSQUARE’

P-Square are a Nigerian R&B duo of identical twin brothers Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye.[1]They produce and release their albums through Square Records. In December 2011, they signed a record deal with Akon‘s Konvict Muzik label.[2] In May 2012, they signed a record distribution deal with Universal Music South Africa.[3]

HistoryEdit

P-Square began in St. Murumba secondary school, a small Catholic school in Jos, Nigeria[citation needed]. Peter and Paul joined their school music and drama club where they began singing, dancing, and mimicking songs by MC HammerBobby Brown and Michael Jackson.

They later formed an a cappella quartet called “MMMPP” (M Clef a.k.a. Itemoh, Michael, Melvin, Peter and Paul). Drawing inspiration from their music idol Michael Jackson, they began break dancing, formed the group called “Smooth Criminals” in 1997.[4] They dropped M Clef from the group “MMMPP” which later was changed to “MMPP”. Their artistic talent and precise dance routine soon made them household names in the city of Jos, where they performed at school functions and other occasions.[4]

Later in 1999, Peter and Paul returned to music school to develop their skills on the keyboard, drums, bass and rhythm guitar. Their work includes the soundtracks for a number of films like TobiMama SundayMoment of Bitterness and Evas River.

Later in 1999, they applied to the University of Abuja to study Business Administration. The Smooth Criminals disbanded when its members left to various other universities. Subsequently, Peter and Paul formed their own group, variously called “Double P”, “P&P”, and “Da Pees”, until they eventually settled on “P Square”. They are managed by Bayo Odusami aka Howie T, a seasoned concert promoter and the CEO of Adrot Nigeria Limited.

In 2001, “P-Square” won the “Grab Da Mic” competition, and hence Benson & Hedges sponsored their debut album, titled Last Nite, which was released under Timbuk2 music label. P-Square was also nominated as “Most Promising African Group” in the Kora Awards three months after the release of their debut album. They eventually won the 2003 Amen Award for “Best R&B Group”.[4]

In 2005, they released their second album, Get Squared under their own label, Square Records. This album was marketed nationwide by TJoe Enterprises, although they were still managed by Howie T of Adrot Nigeria Limited. The video for the second album held the #1 position on the MTV Base chart for four straight weeks.

The group has performed with artists like Ginuwine and Sean PaulAkon. P Square are now located in Lagos.[4]

Late in 2007, they released their best selling album so far, Game Over. It has sold 8 million copies worldwide.[4]

In 2009, P-Square released their fourth studio album, Danger. The album features collaborations with 2 Face Idibia, J Martins and Frenzy. The first single called “Danger” is a hip hop song with cutting synths and a frog bass baseline similar to an Eminem song. The video affirms this with the presence of clowns and staggered movements in front of the camera reminiscent of comical videos by Eminem. They are also known for the close resemblance which the twins have to American R&B singer, Usher Raymond.

On 4 April 2010, P-Square was named the Artist of the Year[5] at the Kora Awards in OuagadougouBurkina-Faso while they were in London for a concert at the Troxy, and they will receive a sum of $1 Million Dollars as the award winners, in Ebebiyin City.

On 29 August 2014, P-Square released a single track featuring a top America Artist T.I. which P-Square titled EjeAjo producer by VTEK,[6] EjeAjo official video featuring T.I.[7]was also released 29 August 2014 on both TV stations, Radio Stations and Web blogs.

On 14 September 2014 P-Square released their 6th studio album titled Double Trouble .[8]

On 8 October 2015 P-Square were given Range Rover SUVs from Globacom as Glo Ambassadors for their sponsorship of the #DanceWithPeter TV Radio entertainment programme. The programme brings dancers from around the world to showcase their talents for prizes.

On 24 February 2016 News of how Globacom decided not to renew its Ambassadorship deal with the duo, albeit renewing the contract with other Ambassadors hit the news. This was as a result of a fallout between the company’s representatives and Peter, one half of the P-Square twins during the grand finale of the Dance with Peter talent hunt show.

Deepika Padukon ( Brief Story About Her)

Deepika Padukone (pronounced [d̪iːpɪkaː pəɖʊkoːɳ]; born 5 January 1986) is an Indian film actress. She features in listings of the nation’s most popular and attractive personalities.

Padukone, the daughter of the badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and raised in Bangalore. The 2012 box office hit Cocktail marked a turning point in Padukone’s career, earning her praise and Best Actress nominations at several award ceremonies. She rose to prominence with starring roles in the romantic comedies Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) and Chennai Express (2013), the heist comedy Happy New Year (2014), and the historical romance Bajirao Mastani (2015), all of which rank among the highest-grossing Bollywood films.
